Hey Reader heeeyyyy! Happy FriYAYYYYY! 💃🏾 How has your week been? Last week stretched me — in the best way. And even though I was exhausted, so much of it felt like affirmation, confirmation, and God giving me the “green light” to do something new (more on that later). Three cities. It started with sitting — on a panel with the women of my church, talking about what it means to “Ask Jesus ANYTHING.” The honesty in that room. It reminded me of something I don’t ever want to forget: Courage in public leadership is cultivated in private faith. Then I was zipping down to Atlanta to speak at the BWII Sisterhood Conference about rediscovering love and loyalty — at home, in the workplace, and within ourselves. And here’s what struck me most: Women are not struggling with competence. Many are wrestling with congruence.
And then I was bopping over to Philadelphia for a jazzy networking brunch with NSN Philadelphia gathering leaders and creatives— connecting, building, laughing, dreaming. The energy in every room was powerful. But here’s the deeper reflection I carried home with me: As meaningful as it is to build publicly… I started the week off with snowy views and cozy vibes Here’s what I was reminded of: Public impact means very little if private JOY is shrinking. If that happens, something is misaligned. So this coming week, I’m choosing SLOW. More presence. Because leadership isn’t just about FOMO and momentum. It’s about rest. A NEW JOYrney™ Experience for Women Seeking REST (without guilt 😉) This brings me to something I’ve been praying about for a while. It’s official. I’m opening a private, application-based daily Bible Reading & Women’s Study Circle. Not because we need “another thing to do.” But because so many women I speak to — especially moms and caregivers — tell me the same thing: “I’m tired. I want to rest. And I want consistency in the Word… but I don’t have the time, and struggle to sustain it.” This space is designed to help us build a JOYful, sustainable daily practice of studying Scripture — not just for knowledge, but for real-life application. (In as little as 15 minutes a day!) The foundation of the group will be rooted in: • Isaiah 61 — restoration, freedom, renewed purpose And let me be clear: This is not about perfection. It’s about learning how Scripture helps you live more rested, rooted, and aligned — in your faith, your work, and your home. Here’s what the group includes: 🌿 A simple, sustainable daily Bible reading plan Founding Member Investment: $27/month The first 40 women who join will lock in that rate for as long as the group exists (and their subscription remains active). Once those seats are filled, the rate will increase for future members. Because this is intentionally curated and alignment matters, participation is by application. If this resonates with you — if you’ve been craving structure, sisterhood, and spiritual steadiness — I would love to read your application.
If you’d like to learn a little more about the heart/intention behind the group you can click here. If your application is accepted – you’ll receive next steps. If you have any questions, feel free to send them my way! We kickoff next Monday, March 2nd! In the meantime, before I close, I want to ask you: What rhythms are you protecting this week? Where do you need to sit… zip…or bop? And how are you intentionally weaving JOY into your leadership — at work and at home? Reply and tell me. I read every message. We’re on the JOYrney™ together… ONE feel-good thing at a time! Erica The JOYrney To Purpose® Podcast Finally, what happens when the dream you prayed for starts to feel like the thing holding you hostage? In this week’s episode of the JOYrney To Purpose® Podcast, I’m joined by Creative Entrepreneur and Founder Erica Rankin for an honest conversation about burnout, identity, and rediscovering JOY beyond hustle culture and performance. We talk about wilderness seasons, numbing habits, and what it really looks like to return to Christ when ”success” starts to cost you your peace. If you’re a working mom, caregiver, executive, or founder navigating transition or identity shifts — this episode is your reminder: Success without surrender isn’t freedom. And letting go can be the doorway back to JOY. The new episode drops tonight at 9PM EST.

Hey Reader heeeyyyy! Happy FriYAYYYYY! 💃🏾 So I don’t want to start this off heavy – but I’ve been thinking about this all day… Convenience kills. That might sound dramatic — but stay with me for a moment. This reflection actually started with a totally real and very ordinary mom moment. Earlier today, I was cutting grapes for my 20-month-old daughter’s morning snack. As I sliced them in half, I noticed something strange. It’s weird looking, right? 😆 lol One grape had a couple of holes in the...

Hey Reader heeeyyyy! “I made a vow to myself that I would never take another job for title or pay.” Those were the words shared by Dr. Tonya Harris Cornileus on the latest episode of the JOYrney To Purpose® Podcast. This was my reaction after she finished that sentence. When she said it — I immediately felt it in my bones. Because I made a similar promise to myself at 23. But let me back up. I‘ve been reflecting a lot, and if there’s one thing I’m grateful I did in my 20s, it was this: I...
