Hey Reader heyyyyyy! It has been MONTHS since we've last spoken... and friend, I've missed you! I pray you've been well, that your summer is off to a beautiful start, and that you've found moments of rest, joy, and God's presence in the midst of whatever this season is bringing your way. Over here, life has been full of change. And if I'm honest, one prayer has been on: "Lord, please give me the courage to do the scary things." Lately, I've realized that most of the scary things God is asking me to do aren't actually scary because they're difficult. They're scary because they require obedience.🫣 The kind of obedience that asks you to let go of what you've built so you can make room for what God's building – and what he’s calling you to. The kind that requires trusting Him before you can see the outcome. The kind that asks for surrender before certainty. One of those acts of obedience has been narrowing my focus. Letting go of things—even good things—that no longer serve the assignment God is calling me to in this season. One of those things is this bi-weekly newsletter. So, after a lot of prayer, reflection, and conversations with the Lord, I've been making a lot of changes because something new is being born! A New Season of the JOYrney™For years, I've described JOYrney To Purpose® as a business. But recently, a new JOYrney™ friend of mine (Keonna Knight) shared a shared a phrase that immediately resonated: "For-profit ministry." The moment I heard it, something clicked. Because while I've spent years building programs, workshops, podcasts, and experiences, the heart behind all of it has remained the same: Helping women—especially mothers—move from pressure to peace by building a daily relationship with Jesus that transforms how they live, lead, love, and see themselves.
…so they can experience the kind of JOY that overflows into every area of life.
Everything else has simply been the vehicle. That said, moving forward, I'm getting intentionally focused on the work I believe God has called me to steward in this season in two distinct ways: For WomenProverbs 31: The JOYrney™ From Pressure to Peace Helping wives, mothers, caregivers, and women of faith cultivate lives marked by peace, purpose, and Biblical alignment. For OrganizationsLead with REST™ Helping high-stress organizations reduce burnout-related turnover and create cultures where working parents and caregivers can thrive. My hope is simple: To create spaces where women can deepen their relationship with God, find support through authentic community, and learn how to live, lead, and serve from a place of wholeness rather than exhaustion. If you're reading this and thinking, "This is exactly where I am..." I'd love to hear your story! Whether you're navigating this personally, or you're leading a team that wants to build a healthier culture, let's grab a virtual coffee and get to know each other better.
Also, In Case You’re Wondering What’s Up With the Podcast...The final two episodes of Season 5 have officially been released, and I'm officially now one month into my summer hiatus. 🙌🏾 But behind the scenes? Season 6 is already taking shape—and I honestly believe it's going to be the most aligned season yet. And I am genuinely excited about what's coming. Because I’m planning conversations designed to help you: • navigate motherhood with greater peace If you missed the final episodes of Season 5, I've linked them. You can watch on YouTube or listen below:
BTW: if you're new to the podcast, summer is the perfect time to catch up on past conversations that may speak directly to the season you're currently navigating! So... What's Next? While this may be the final edition of JOYrney Mail™, I don't believe it's the end of our story together… remember, we still have a lot to discuss on the podcast. 😉 Next week I'll introduce you to one of the incredible women God brought into my life this season—and why I think her story will encourage yours. I can't wait to share it with you. Until Season 6... Thank you for being part of this JOYrney™. Thank you for reading. Thank you for praying. Thank you for growing alongside me. May God bless you richly. May He give you courage for the things He's asking you to do. One thing I've learned this year is this: Sometimes the most faithful thing we can do isn't add more. It's to faithfully rest, do less, and become more aligned with what God has actually asked us to steward. And if you feel the Lord asking you to do something that feels scary lately, I pray this serves as your reminder that obedience often precedes clarity. And that, friend, is often where the greatest JOY awaits. 🤗 Have an amazing weekend, and see you next week! Remember – We're on the JOYrney™ together… ONE feel-good thing at a time! -Erica |

Hey Reader heyyyyyy! Happy FriYayyyyy, friend! Not sure if you know this, but today is my birthday! And it's already off to such a beautiful start. 🥹🙌🏾 This morning I returned to the exact same spot where I watched the sunrise and spent time with the Lord on my birthday last year. At this point, I think we've officially started a new tradition. 😊 As I sat with my Bible, prayed, and reflected on this past year (and the fact that I'm stepping into the final year of my 30s 😬), one word kept...
Hey Reader heeeyyyy! Happy Monday! How was your weekend? Mine was beautiful. We spent it in Baltimore celebrating my nephew’s first trip around the sun — and for nearly 48 hours… I barely looked at my phone. And honestly? It felt AMAZING. Which was especially meaningful because the the past week I had been sitting with a couple questions inspired by this thought: "Time multiplies whatever you feed it." I heard that while listening to an episode of The Diary of a CEO podcast, and my immediate...
Hey Reader heeeyyyy! Happy FriYAYYYYY! 💃🏾 So I don’t want to start this off heavy – but I’ve been thinking about this all day… Convenience kills. That might sound dramatic — but stay with me for a moment. This reflection actually started with a totally real and very ordinary mom moment. Earlier today, I was cutting grapes for my 20-month-old daughter’s morning snack. As I sliced them in half, I noticed something strange. It’s weird looking, right? 😆 lol One grape had a couple of holes in the...
