Hey Reader heeeeyyyy! Let me ask you something… Is your job actually wearing you out — or is it the fact that you’re managing two full-time roles at once? To the point where it leaves you internally feeling like 2017 Tyrese and asking… Because whether you’re working a 9–5, between jobs, or fully committed to staying home right now… And here’s the part so many moms quietly live with 😬 You’re managing: And on the outside? So no one calls it burnout. They call it: And over time, many women start believing their value is tied to how much stress they can carry without cracking. But this way of living isn’t serving women. Because burnout today doesn’t always look like falling apart. More often, it looks like holding everything together while slowly disappearing. Here’s what I’ve learned through my work with women, caregivers, and organizations: Burnout (and the loss of JOY that comes with it) isn’t about being lazy or weak. And for working moms, that system isn’t just your employer. It can be the invisible culture of your home too. How many unpaid roles can you name just from managing a household? Research has shown that working moms on average are clocking about 98 hours a week – the equivalent of 2.5 full-time jobs each week. And since then? We’ve added: So when this level of responsibility goes unsupported, the cost shows up as: My prayer this season is that more women reclaim REST — and with it, JOY — in how they live, lead, and love. That’s why I’m listening closely right now. As I step into the new year, I’m gathering insight from working moms and caregivers to better understand: If this resonates, I would love your voice.

Hey Reader heeeyyyy! “I made a vow to myself that I would never take another job for title or pay.” Those were the words shared by Dr. Tonya Harris Cornileus on the latest episode of the JOYrney To Purpose® Podcast. This was my reaction after she finished that sentence. When she said it — I immediately felt it in my bones. Because I made a similar promise to myself at 23. But let me back up. I‘ve been reflecting a lot, and if there’s one thing I’m grateful I did in my 20s, it was this: I...
Hey Reader heeeeey – and Happy FriYAYYYYY! 💃🏾 Remember a couple weeks ago, I shared my Top 5 wins from 2025 — the faith stretches, the milestones, the growth moments? Well, today I want to take you behind-the-scenes and share something more important: The discipline behind the JOY. Hey Reader heeeeyyyy! As we stand on the edge of a new year, I’ve been reflecting — not on everything I did in 2025, but on who I was becoming as I walked through it. So instead of goals alone, I paid attention to fruit. My #VisionBingo board for 2025… 2026 is loading! Here are my Top Five from 2025 — not as...
