Happy FriYAYYYYY, Reader! May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Last week the family and I headed down to Baltimore for my 20th high school reunion. Crazy – I know! 🙈 The working moms. The caregivers. The dreamers. The women holding it all together… even when we’re crumbling inside. That reflection led me to revisit something deeply personal that I shared a couple weeks ago. Back in March I shared a 3-part video testimony about how transitioning into motherhood broke me; but how in a lot of ways it also healed me. A HUGE part of this came as a result of rediscovering my faith, and how doing so introduced me to (as Gen Z calls it) – the “soft life.” 😏 Not the IG aesthetic. For so long, I believed success required striving. But in three pivotal life seasons, God gently unraveled that belief — and taught me what JOY in obedience really feels like. Each season broke something in me. But it also opened the door to something softer, deeper… and far more fulfilling. Here’s why I’m sharing these reflections now:
Mental health isn’t just about managing stress. It’s about learning how to live without pretending you’re not drowning. It’s about letting go of what culture says you should be… So you can hear who God is actually calling you to become. If you’re navigating your own transition — whether in motherhood, business, or faith — I pray this message meets you right where you are. In the meantime, let's reflect together! What has God been using to soften you in this season? Reply back — I’d love to hear your story. And if you’re celebrating or remembering someone this weekend: Happy Mother’s Day. You’re seen, you’re loved, and your JOYrney™ matters. 💛 We’re on the JOYrney™ together… ONE feel-good thing at a time. Erica The JOYrney To Purpose® Podcast In case you're wondering what the "three pivotal moments" I'm referring to above (that challenged and almost broke me): These seasons included:
If you've been part of the #VibeTribe for a bit, you may have heard me reference these experiences, but in this week's podcast episode, I'm giving you a full-blown "Storytime" and sharing my testimony. So grab a snack and your journal as I share a couple of reflective prompts to get your JOYrney™ juices flowing. The episode premiers on YouTube at 5:00 PM EST (subscribe/turn on notifications), or you can LISTEN NOW by clicking the link below!

PS: If you haven’t already — it would mean so much if you’d take a moment to rate, review, and share the show with someone who could use a little JOY right now. Every single share makes a difference! Work With Me! If you're ever curious or in need, here are other ways I can support your JOYrney™ BTW: If you’re a nurse/working in healthcare (or know someone who is) and you’re seeing burnout firsthand, I’d love to explore how we can bring more JOY to the healthcare system. I’m conducting a personal survey to hear more about your experiences and how together we can better support you as you care for others!
Have a great week, Reader and remember – We’re on the JOYrney™ together …ONE feel-good thing at a time! Xx, Erica |

Happy FriYAYYYYY! 💎This Week’s #JOYGem 💎 You’re not forgotten. You’re being preparing for something greater than you imagined! Hey Reader, Have you ever felt like you’re doing everything right… but God still hasn’t moved? Same. I know what it’s like to pray, prepare, stay faithful—and still feel like you’re sitting in the waiting room, wondering if your name will ever be called. But in this week’s Bible study, I was reminded of something powerful: Just because God isn’t moving doesn’t mean He...
Your past doesn’t disqualify you — it prepares you Hey Reader, Have you ever felt like parts of your story were too messy to be meaningful? Same here. 🙋🏾♀️ But a couple weeks ago, I was reminded (yet again) that God doesn’t waste anything—especially not the messy parts. You don’t need to be “fully ready” to walk in your purpose. In fact… your transformation is often the very thing that makes you ready. This week on the JOYrney To Purpose® Podcast, we’re looking at Acts 9— where Saul’s radical...
Hey Reader, I had a moment last year that I haven’t been able to shake. It reminded me why this JOYrney™ work matters — and how deeply we all need JOY right now. But before I share that story,. What does JOY look like for you right now? (At work, at home… even just in your day-to-day?) Think about that for a second. Whether you're a healthcare provider, a corporate leader, a mother/caregiver, or simply someone navigating big life transitions — burnout is real. And most of the time, we try to...
