Hey Reader, If you've ever wondered what my "productive" mornings look like, let me paint you a picture...👇🏿 My husband, Nick, is an innate early riser. We’re talking daily 6 AM, 4-6 mile runs… for fun. (Yeah, he’s 'bout that life. lol.) Every morning, I watch in admiration — so inspired by his consistency around getting up early. So, at the start of 2025, I declared: ✨ This is my year to become a 5:30 AM wake-up workout "girlie." ✨ And for five weeks straight? I snoozed. Later and later each day. Except for three. 😅 If you've ever fallen off track (or you’re currently dragging your feet), this is your reminder: Why Vision MattersYour vision isn’t just a dream — it’s a blueprint for success. It impacts everything — from your personal habits to how you lead at home and at work. One of my favorite scriptures comes from Habbakuk 2:2-3, and it highlights the benefits and importance of having VISION.
Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it. For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.
VISION CREATES: And ultimately? Vision leads to action. And clear action leads to YOUR version of success. At the start of this year, I set a few JOY-led intentions (you know I don’t do “goals” — too much pressure 😉 lol):
And a few weeks in? I fell off. (Legit just dabbling in a whole lot of messy distractions lol.) But instead of beating myself up, on Monday I used my JOYrney™ Process to: The result? (Check it out💃🏽) But enough about me. The point is: VISION is a foundation for momentum. Now, Let’s Talk About YOU.

At the Friends School of Baltimore Campus w/ the fam - May 2025 Happy FriYAYYYYY, Reader! At The Friends School of Baltimore Campus w/ the fam - May 2025 May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Last week the family and I headed down to Baltimore for my 20th high school reunion. Crazy – I know! 🙈 With this, and Mother’s Day just around the corner, I’ve been reflecting a lot on the journey I've been on the past 20 years of becoming a woman, and what emotional wellness looks like — especially for...
Happy FriYAYYYYY! 💎This Week’s #JOYGem 💎 You’re not forgotten. You’re being preparing for something greater than you imagined! Hey Reader, Have you ever felt like you’re doing everything right… but God still hasn’t moved? Same. I know what it’s like to pray, prepare, stay faithful—and still feel like you’re sitting in the waiting room, wondering if your name will ever be called. But in this week’s Bible study, I was reminded of something powerful: Just because God isn’t moving doesn’t mean He...
Your past doesn’t disqualify you — it prepares you Hey Reader, Have you ever felt like parts of your story were too messy to be meaningful? Same here. 🙋🏾♀️ But a couple weeks ago, I was reminded (yet again) that God doesn’t waste anything—especially not the messy parts. You don’t need to be “fully ready” to walk in your purpose. In fact… your transformation is often the very thing that makes you ready. This week on the JOYrney To Purpose® Podcast, we’re looking at Acts 9— where Saul’s radical...
